Our musicians at the Royal Albert Hall

Congratulations to our Senior choir and Year 4 violins!

A message from our music teacher Lis:
“Our choir children were fantastic – so professional in their approach to learning the words and actions, and such a credit to the school in the performance. It was lovely to see the children singing their hearts out and conducting themselves so responsibly.
Our six violinists were amazing. They practised and rehearsed with such commitment. Whilst watching them in action, it was hard to believe that they have only been playing their instrument for four months! I’d like to voice a personal ‘well done’ to all of them for their dedication.
I would also like to thank parents for their support in this project. Thank you for listening to the children practice their songs and tunes, for bringing them to rehearsals and auditions, and for encouraging them through their preparation. It was lovely to see so many parents at the performance too. I hope you enjoyed it!
As the mayor said on the night, music is such an essential part of every child’s education – not just for its own sake but for all of the developmental benefits that musical activity brings. We really hope that your child is feeling fired up by the Albert Hall experience and will keep going with their music making!”
