Carlton has an established inclusion team. The aim of this team is to ensure that all children are included at Carlton, no matter what their need or experience.
Across the school there are established systems and practices in place to ensure that all children receive the quality of education that will result in them achieving their full potential. We understand that by changing some aspects of our practice, we will unlock children’s barriers to learning and aid their progress.

The school’s excellent inclusive practices were recognised when Carlton received the Achievement for All Award. Carlton is a leading school in this area and was also visited by the Permanent Secretary, which provided us with the opportunity to showcase our systems.
In 2011/2012, Carlton was also awarded the Camden Award for Inclusion – recognition that our inclusive strategies impact on our children.
